


















Craig - The Gentle Giant of Amboseli





The name Amboseli comes from a Maasai word Empusel meaning "salty dust place",
it is renowned for its large herds of elephants and one of the best places in Africa
to photograph elephants. One iconic resident in the park is “Craig” he is also known as
the “Gentle Giant of Amboseli” he is over 50 years of age and he is the elephant with
the longest tusks in Kenya. Craig is one of the few super tuskers left in the world today and
his photograph is displayed towards the bottom of this page.
